Helpful tips for taking online classes
Download Zoom
Zoom is an online platform where we can virtually meet to practice yoga!
The application must be downloaded in advance.
Zoom can be used on a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
Go to HTTPS://ZOOM.US/DOWNLOAD and download the best Zoom version for the device you intend to use.
Please feel free to contact Karen if you need help downloading Zoom.
How to join Serendipity Yoga Zoom classes
If you are new to Serendipity Yoga, please email Karen to receive the weekly email and link for classes.
I will send you an email with a link before Monday morning's class which will work for all classes during that week.
Click on the link to join the class.
Please connect and join the class 15 minutes before class begins.

Set Up for Class
You should have at least a yoga mat, 2 or 3 blankets and a chair (if you do not have a yoga chair, a dining chair will do).
Additional props that will be helpful are 2 blocks of the same size, a strap, and a bolster.
If you do not have the additional props, other options will be given and demonstrated during the class.
Note: Items at home can be used if you do not have yoga props such as blankets, belts, books, folding chairs, etc.
Please contact Karen if you are interested in buying props.
Some General Tips
Set up your device 6-8 feet away from your mat.
To start, your mat should be horizontal to your device.
Set up square to the camera, so we can see you straight ahead.
Lighting should be directed at you, so there is no silhouette.
Ideally you should have the use of a wall if possible.
